Chris re-laced my son’s Lacrosse stick. He was great to deal with and did an amazing job.
About a month Deagan helped my son get sized for an upgraded goalie mask. Last week he needed to upgrade his pads, blocker and glove. Deagan again went above and beyond to take his time to help my son with 3 different pad brands and took his time to make sure he made the right decision. If you need goalie equipment get to Monkey Sports and ask for Deagan. Above and behind customer service.
I bought a rawlings baseball glove for my son at Christmas. The laces were dry and cracked, Rawlings wouldn't honor the warranty because I had put glove Age conditioner on it. Thanks to Gavin at Monkey sports in Derry NH he reconditioned and lace the entire glove in one day. Very pleased with his customer service and the overall results. Thanks Gavin!
Nathan was great! He spent a lot of time getting my husband fitted in hockey skates and roller blades. Also helped put a hockey kit together for our grandson’s Christmas. Nathan was so knowledgeable and helpful. We will definitely be back.

We took my 5 year old son to get fitted for lacrosse gear and everyone who works here couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful! Our little guy is just getting into it and had a blast putting on all the gear - shoutout to Tyler who was super patient with him and with all of us because we know nothing about lacrosse. I was at my local monkey sports the other day to sharpen my skates and Alex was a tremendous help! He took my skates and had them sharpened within 10 minutes and had such a positive attitude while doing so. Great job Alex!
Went in to purchase Goalie equipment for my daughter with a set budget and the sales associate, Liam, went above and beyond to ensure proper fit of the equipment we purchased. Also ensured not to exceed my budget. Will definitely be returning in the future for additional purchases.
My son and I visited the store after calling to check they had a specific ice hockey stick in stock. He spoke to Josh both on the phone and in the store and he was very helpful. Josh also set my son up with an account. We went back again a few days later to purchase a specific CCM helmet, again after phoning to check if it was available in store. Josh kindly put it aside for us. When my son went in to buy the helmet, he tried it on and we needed to make some changes. Josh took him through the process and helped guide him into making the right choice for safety and fit of the helmet. The friendly and professional help from Josh made our experiences at the Derry store great, and we will certainly visit again.
I had a great customer experience with a skate fitting for my son, we worked with Colby who was super attentive and made the whole process fun for my 7 and 4.5 yr old. Colby also helped us out with a new set of shoulder pads. Good luck in OK this hockey season!
This review is for Josh in particular. Josh helped us with new box lacrosse pads by steering us in the right direction for what our son really needs. We also planned on getting new skates but after Josh took a look at them and did some adjustments, we were all set with the skates we had purchased last season. Josh could easily had sold us a new pair of skates, but took the time to listen to what my son was saying and found a better solution. I typically do not bother writing reviews but I was so impressed with our experience I will definitely be coming back! Thank you again Josh!!

I couldn’t have been more thrilled with my experience at the Derry NH Monkey Sports getting my son new goalie leg pads. Jameson was unbelievably knowledgeable . He gave us so much information . It was like a goalie gear 101 lesson. He talked to my son about his goalie style and preferences and had a detailed fitting of different pads . He even let him try on all of his old gear and measured his feet to be sure the rest of his gear fit properly . Luckily everything but the leg pads fit and he didn’t need anything else . At most I hoped for a proper measurement for leg pads. Jameson, the store and staff exceeded my expectations . My son has been a goalie for six years (now 12 yrs old) and no coach or camp provided significant gear information . What I googled and learned on my own is what we got . Thank you Jameson!!!!

John O’Neal what a very awesome help, one of the few guys in the hockey industry that is still in it for the customer! I had came to him with problems about skate, and he was willing to help me at the drop of a dime. truly good things about this guy!
Luke helped to answer all of my many questions about softball gloves and remained patient and available while I found the best option the day before I needed to get a new glove for my sister-in-law. Very easy to find what I was looking for in this store and they steamed the glove for free to enhance the fit, which was important because first baseman gloves are really bulky and don’t always form well to your hand.
Drove 4 hours just to visit the store. Noelle went out of her way to help my son. I highly recommend this location if you’re looking for great customer service!!

Johnny O’Neil has taken care of us for many years. I have two son’s that play hockey and he has been very helpful throughout the years helping my older son with any type of equipment need. Now that my older son is in college, I continue to shop there for my younger son. Johnny is the reason why I shop at Monkey Sports in Derry. His team (Josh, Matt) is also very helpful and friendly so you can’t go wrong with any of them. He listens attentively to what customers are looking for and offers great advice on what to get. Recently, my younger son damaged his skate blade so I was getting a skate sharpening. We started talking about types of sharpening and he went out of his way to explain the different styles and cuts. He even offered my son to sample a Bauer profile steel which he immediately loved. He noticed a difference in the quality of the blade and now he won’t use anything but the Bauer profile. Johnny’s expertise is invaluable and he knows whats best which makes the experience shopping at MonkeySports in Derry well worth the trip
I just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with John O'Neal and the entire staff at Monkey Sports Derry. I will not shop anywhere else for my hockey skate needs. John and his staff always take their time to make sure I am fitted properly and purchase the right skates for me. They let me sample profiled steel in my new skates prior to purchasing. I could not believe the performance difference between the low and high end steel. It made me realize that spending the extra $70 for the top line Bauer Fly-TI was absolutely worth the price. Took the drive down to MonkeySports today from Maine and can say the drive was worth it. We had a great experience! Nathan and Colby were very knowledgeable and helpful for finding the best skate fit for our very hard to fit 10U goalie. We will be heading back in just a few weeks for the new skate fit machine, and to purchase with the new stock coming! We appreciate their honesty and patience with our son. The location was easy to find, and a roomy clean space to try gear! Very happy with the outcome of today's trip!

Every time I come to sport monkey for lacrosse gear I seek out Josh because he is very knowledge about the sport. Every time I go I leave with better gear than I wanted before.
Was in the area for a hockey tournament. went in monkey sports for a complete goalie setup with. We were greated with friendly smiles and was directed to the goalie section. Not really knowing what would be appropriate for my daughter to wear we asked for help. Sam was more then happy to help. He got my daughter fitted completely and gave me all the sizes I needed. Went home built my order online of what price range I was looking to spend called Sam and placed the order with him over the phone as I'm nearly 3 hours away from the store. Really happy with the services provided by Sam he made a daunting process easy to bear. Monkey sports had the best prices overall.

The staff down at Monkey is absolutely second to none I brought my Easton skates down today to get fixed they told me they can do it but it might not work. So I expressed that I only skate twice a week and that I don't want to spend alot of money on skates I tried on what they recommended and bought the skates. I highly recommend this place for all your lacrosse baseball and hockey needs!

This store has been my “go to” sports equipment location for the past 5 years. Their Hockey, Lacrosse, and Softball (I hope they one day add Field Hockey!) selection is extremely accommodating for every level athlete. During EVERY visit, the Staff is very knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful, particularly Mr. Johnny O’Neil. Recently, my daughter who is away at prep school, broke consecutive hockey sticks in back-to-back games. Johnny was able to quickly query a company search, locate the sticks, and have them shipped to my daughter before her next game! This is one of many examples that I have had over the years. I have always been extremely pleased with the quality of “old fashioned” customer service these employees provide. Johnny O’Neil and his staff have incredible knowledge and understanding of the products they sell. And it is obvious that they believe the customer comes first. Because of his efforts, we are always able to find exactly what we need, and I am very satisfied with all our purchases over the years. Third round of testing out skate fit for my 11yr old was the charm. The monkeysport representative Nathan met us as we walked in and offered his help with finding what we were looking for. He help us work through the skate fitting process. He start with scanning her foot to determine the proper size. He then shorted through what they had in stock for the size and fits we needed to try on. Nathan was knowledgeable about the differences between skate brands and models, which helped us end up on a proper fitting skate based on my childs foot shape/type.
Advanced level skate are not cheap and with Nathans help, we were able to make an expensive purchase with confidence.

Went to Norton Store on a busy holiday sale day. Bought skates at great price, but the fit was wrong. I brought the skates to the Derry store where they remolded, punched out, and did what was necessary for boot to fit comfortably. They rectified the fitting free of charge. The Store Manager J was great and extremely helpful, even admitting to short staffs at the Norton store causing the lack of service/fitting in the first place.

I called the store on December 5, 2023. An extremely helpful and friendly person named Mathew helped me. I was inquiring about a goalie stick and he spent over 20 min trying to help me. He was extremely knowledgeable and was very patient with me. It is a pleasant surprise these days, to have such great customer service. I was able to feel comfortable with my purchase. I wrote a poor review on my experience at Monkey sports in October and the manager has since called us, and made things right with my son's skates. He sent us a new pair after his staff messed them up along with free blades. Much appreciated on addressing my concerns!
I've spent probably 10K at this store over the years. Finally had a problem when I purchased $800 skates for my son in October 2023. Found out when we got home they were defective from the factory, blade holders were misaligned as we couldn't get blades in the skates. Never used, never worn. Called Monkeysports 4 times, refused to help us, refused a return, tried to blame us for not buying blades at the store, and to top it all off, were out of all large skate sizes and couldn't swap them out anyway.

Went in to sharpen skates and was checking out sticks. I asked Alex for some basic info on the differences between sticks which he explained. But he offered to demo the sticks in their shooting cage. He then gave me some shooting pointers. He is an amazing teacher. He spent 10 minutes giving me pointers on shooting, lifting the puck, mechanics, etc. He made my day and I can’t even explain how helpful his pointers were. Incredible customer service. Laurent at the check out register was also extremely helpful. This place just totally blew me away and earned a 5 star review. Exceptional customer service!
Bought an Easton bat last spring. Had a great experience with the salesperson. Was able for my son to test the bat in the batting cage. After a few months, the bat broke and that is when i became a loyal customer. The team at monkey sports contacted the manufacturer in my behalf and I was able to receive a replacement bat. This was above and beyond What I expected. Thank you Joshua and John!!!

If I could give more stars I would. Nathan and the guys did a great job re-lacing 2 gloves efficiently. They gave life to 2 older gloves. Great customer service.

I recently came in to the Derry store just to buy some pucks. I'd been considering buying some new inline skates so, out of curiosity, I tried on on a pair of Bauer RSX skates. I liked them so much I couldn't walk out of the store without them. I've been skating on them for two weeks now and love them. Mia Jameson and James O'Neal were great. Excellent store. Excellent customer service. Excellent product. will definitely be shopping here again.
Matt K (Kirk) was awesome. These guys were recommended by our hockey director and he couldn’t have been more right. I’ve been going to PH for years but this year found they didn’t have my sons TACKs. Monkey was the only one around that had the skate and the fit. Automatic win. But Matt made the experience great. Super knowledgeable (the whole staff actually) and clearly took great care and put a lot of thought into understanding what my sons unique foot shape needed for proper support and comfort. He made some recommendations, tried some ideas and listened closely to what we needed.

My Son Wilson outgrew his CCM skates and needed a new pair. Johnny and Alex who worked with us today were phenomenal. They were patient as well as very knowledgable. After trying on both CCM and Bauer we couldn't get the fit right so we tried on the True HZRDUS. Wow...what a skate!!! The build is solid and the comfort is off the charts after heat molding.
Once we settled on the skates it was time to look at sticks. Alex worked with Wilson on the indoor ice and video analyzed his shot. This step was critical to finding the correct stick flex which optimized feel, handling, and puck response.

Had to get skates for young player but getting to the store before closing can be tough. Got to the store only 30 minutes before close and we were greeted by Jameson, Josh and Griffin who got my son sized up and even tried out 3 different types of skates. They didn't rush us at all and stayed after closing to get the skates baked. Jameson even helped my other son with sizing a chest protector. Great staff. Monkey Sports needs to take notice. These guys are tops.

We made a special trip here hoping to get some new equipment for our son and hockey camp. As soon as we walked in the entire staff greeted us and were extremely friendly. A young man named Gabe assisted us with fitting our son for a helmet, shins, pants, and elbows. Extremely happy with the selection and professional of this store. Great staff that are really focused on customer service. I first connected with Ryan who helped my 9 year old find the perfect hockey stick and he really listened to his needs and identified a few sticks that might be the right fit while explaining the differences to him. He then spent time with him in the hockey section looking at his shot and helping him notice the differences. I then ran into Josh with my 12 year old who gave the same service to help him upgrade his baseball glove. I was so impressed how they both really listened to my kids and made them feel important. Some of the best customer service I’ve ever gotten! Thanks, guys! We are grateful for your support and we look forward to our next visit!

Your recent change to your skate sharpening service was terrible. I've been shopping there since it opened and get my skates sharpened often, I use the Flat Bottom V 1/2 grind which you no longer offer because you went with the less quality Bauer machine which you now offer only 2 choices in grinds. This store is 1 of only a few in area that offered that grind as you have the proper machine to do so. Now people have to drive somewhere else, which for me is an hour of extra travel time to have this done. Also, while there I usually do my shopping since I'm there. If I'm forced to go somewhere else to get my sharpened then this will affect all of my future purchases there as I'm not going to go multiple places, I'll just get what I need from another shop. I hope cooperate really thinks this through as this will definitely affect the stores bottom line. These new machines you're using deliver a mediocre edge at best and require more servicing, which means more down time less opportunity to make money on sharpening. Please rethink this decision.

From top to bottom, the employees of this store will go above and beyond to help you get everything that you need to have a successful hockey, baseball, or lacrosse season. Since Johnny has taken over the management team, this store has completely transformed for the better. If you have not been there recently, I highly suggest paying it another visit! Johnny truly is the best in the business when it comes to all things hockey, and he has staffed equally knowledgable and wonderful employees to help you out in baseball and lacrosse as well. I have been visiting this store since 2015, shortly after it first opened, and there is a reason a continue to come back time and time again! From the stocked gear, to services provided, to the people, I cannot recommend a better store in New England for all you hockey, baseball, & lacrosse needs
As a former employee, I have nothing but positive things to say about Monkey Sport in Derry. From the management staff all the way to the cashiers, everyone is extremely hardworking and generous. The weekend meals and employee discount were just some of the props of working there. Never once did I feel like I was an outlier in the workplace. Overall it was a great experience with even better colleagues. 10/10 recommend for anyone in the area looking for hockey lacrosse or baseball gear.
Really awesome of Monkey Sports to hold a Side Line Swap trade day in Derry. Brought in old hockey gear and after a seamless & quick experience, we made out with $ back in the form of a gift certificate! So much easier than trying to sell the items ourselves.

Awesome experience, I went in to get my skates sharpened which quickly turned into them needing new blades, and finding out that they don’t make new blades for 13 year old skates…
Nathan was a huge help, super knowledgable, and knew how to fit the perfect skates for my feet.

I've traveled just under 3 hours one way to this store because of their great selection of goalie equipment. If you have any questions about goalie gear I highly recommend Andy, I went to get sized for leg pads and even though Andy wasn't technically working that day (he had just stopped by the store) he took the time to make sure I had the right size leg pads. Huge props to Andy!
Just got my son his new True CAT9 skates from the infamous Johnny O’Neal! This store, company and staff are one of a kind and very knowledgeable and helpful and know what they are talking about! Been coming here sense they opened and couldn’t be happier! Thank you very much to everyone that works here especially John O’Neal who my son and myself have been coming to for years! Was so pleased with the service and expertise that we received at the Derry store. John O'Neal went above and beyond to be sure that my son's new hockey equipment was properly sized and took the time to learn about his preferences before making a recommendation. His hockey knowledge and expertise is second to none. This place is worth the trip.
We drive 3+ hours one way to go to this store. I don't think we have ever been disappointed. We have had young adults help us and they did a great job. Yesterday we stopped in our way to camp...an annual event! Some staff members who although were hockey players, went to get the staff member who is a goalie to help us. I believe he was/is the manager and took his time to help us through our questions to help us make sure we got the right/correct gear for my boys. Even though closing time was coming up, I/we did not feel rushed. Once we found the right pair of skates, the baked them and sharpened them for us. Look forward to going back again and again!
What a great staff. Honestly I don't even like giving reviews but I was so pleased in the last year I had to. I started off coming here because I lived local. About a year ago I moved about 45 minutes away and I still come here because the way I'm treated. I coach both football and baseball and personalizing the jerseys is something they do great there. If you're needing a deadline when everyone else puts you on the back burner they'll make sure you're taken care of. If you haven't checked them out I suggest you do you won't regret it. Doesn't matter who you talk to when you go in there they're very consistent and always handle any kind of issues that I have. If you're thinking of a loyal sports shop give this place a try and see for yourself those guys are awesome thanks again
I took my 6 year old son in today to pick up some Lacrosse gear. It's his first year playing and I had no clue what to buy or how to get his proper size for a helmet or chest protector. I wish I had gotten the sales persons name that I dealt with because he was beyond helpful. He set my son up with everything he needed and was great with him while sizing his equipment. I will have to check my receipt to see if his name was on it because he deserves some recognition. It's very hard to find good customer service these days especially from younger staff. I would highly recommend this store and we'll be back again if my son sticks with it or needs more equipment.

3D Skate Fitting/3D Foot Scanning
Within all of our MonkeySports locations, we have the latest skate fitting technology from our major brands. 3D skate fitting and foot scanning is valuable to our customers in which they can figure out which stock skate works best for their specific needs and even make recommendations and showcase how skates would fit on the feet if they are smaller or larger. This scanner will pick up every small detail of the foot and the technology of the skate recommender works great! There are different versions that can be done where the customer is either standing or sitting and the scanner is either moved around their feet or captured while standing in the scanner itself. Customers can also get these foot scans done to figure out which custom skate would work best for their individual needs to make sure when they are on the ice, they are skating to their best potential.
Slap Shot Room
MonkeySports understands the importance of today’s hockey player and their ultimate weapon of choice. With every major vendor available, MonkeySports provides our customers with the ability to try sticks before they buy. We have slap shot rooms with synthetic ice, real nets with real boards and glass for the customer to take some real shots and see which stick works best. Not only do we provide these demo sticks for in Senior sizes, but we also provide Intermediate, Junior and Youth sticks for all levels of player to test their strength and find the proper stick, flex and height for their style. Customers are free to use our Slap Shot rooms with the supervision of an employee to provide immediate feedback and discussion on their favorite stick.
Skate Sharpening & Repair
For all hockey players, it is essential to get your blades sharpened and our MonkeySports location can take care of your skates to keep you on the ice. We use the best products available to sharpen, repair, swap holders, replace rivets and provide maintenance needed for our customers. Specifically in Roller Hockey markets, our stores will also handle swapping holders and can convert your ice skates with a chassis to house roller wheels.
On top of this skate service, most locations can provide sewing and maintenance to player gloves, goalie gear, lacrosse heads or baseball gloves. While some services vary by location, it is best to contact your local MonkeySports store to speak with an employee who handles these repairs and schedule it before you arrive.

For baseball and softball players, their glove can be so preferential and beloved that they don’t want to give it up! We understand that love and connection, so we offer full relacing, repair, and restringing to ensure their glove stays broken in but isn’t coming apart! If that beloved glove needs to be replaced and the new glove needs to be broken in, we offer full break-in services in our glove steamers and break-in stations to ensure that the glove has started to break in to the customer’s liking.
