MonkeySports, Inc. is committed to making our websites and stores usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. We want every athlete, parent, and coach to be able to find a store, learn about our company, and reach us without barriers.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508. This covers MonkeySports.com and our retail websites: HockeyMonkey.com, GoalieMonkey.com, BaseballMonkey.com, LacrosseMonkey.com, and HockeyMonkey.ca.
What we do
- We work with Allyant, an independent accessibility firm, to audit our sites, fix issues, and re-test as the sites change.
- Our sites are built to work with screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and browser zoom up to 200%.
- Images carry text alternatives, forms have labeled fields and clear error messages, and color is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Accessibility is part of how we review new pages and features before they go live.
Known limitations
Some content comes from third parties — for example embedded maps, job listings hosted by our recruiting partner, and product videos supplied by brands. We ask our partners to meet the same standard and will provide the information in another format on request.
